South Africa’s premier supplier of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Cleaning Chemicals, Paper Products, Industrial Consumable Supplies and Workwear is looking for a Key Accounts Officer: Africa to join their successful team.
Scope:
A Key Account Officer plays a crucial role in managing and nurturing relationships with key clients or customers of a business.
The primary objective is to ensure client satisfaction, foster long-term relationships, and drive business growth.
Duties & Responsibilities
Order Management:
- Process customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timely entry into the system.
- Monitor order status and communicate updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate with the logistics departments to ensure timely fulfilment of orders.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Prepare and review export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of all export transactions and related documentation.
Customer Support:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers in the African market, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Provide information on product availability, pricing, and shipping schedules.
- Assist customers with after-sales support and coordinate with the product team for any product-related concerns.
Sales Coordination:
- Assist in the preparation of sales presentations, proposals, and reports.
- Coordinate and communicate with distributors, agents, and other partners in the African market.
Logistics Coordination:
- Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to arrange shipments.
- Track and manage shipments to ensure timely delivery to customers.
- Handle any logistical issues that arise during the export process.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular reports on sales activities, order status, and market conditions.
- Analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide feedback to the Commercial manager to refine sales strategies and operations

Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12
- Minimum 2-4 years in a similar position
- Business Administration Qualification (Advantageous)
- Computer literacy is must on: Excel, Word, Outlook
- Exp with Syspro is an advantage
- Experience in PPE would be advantageous
- MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH CUSTOMERS WITHIN AFRICA – SHIPPING EXPERIENCE INTO AFRICA (NON NEGOTIABLE)
