Financial Accountant

Introduction

Our client, based in the Northern suburbs of Cape Town, offers Accounting, Tax and Auditing services. They are currently looking for a Financial Accountant to join their dynamic team.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for specific outsourced accounting projects
• Perform full accounting function including reconciliations, journals, and trial balances
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Assist with VAT and tax submissions and general ledger maintenance
• Communicate directly with clients on accounting and reporting matters
• Support automation and system improvement initiatives within the accounting process

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Completed SAICA, SAIPA, or CIMA Articles
• Relevant BCom degree or equivalent; professional qualification advantageous
• Minimum 1 year of post-articles experience
• Experience with Xero accounting software beneficial
• Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Xero add-ons, Zapier) is a plus
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Positive and proactive ‘can-do’ attitude

Package & Remuneration

R20K – R35K per month + 13^th cheque depending on qualification and experience
