A top company that specializes in the development and supply of electronic safety products is looking for an Account Manager for their branch in Rustenburg.
To manage the customer relationship by delivering high quality customer service wrt installation and repair of safety equipment.
To manage a team of technicians in order to achieve this.
To grow the business by cross selling to existing customers and generating new business.
Duties & Responsibilities
Finance
- Costs are minimised and profits maximised
- Minimise daily costs and wastage (eg use of equipment, stationery, etc)
- Maximise profits by dealing with customers proactively to ensure that business grows
Customer Service
- Strong relationships are established and maintained with all stakeholders through efficient, effective and professional service delivery.
- Relationships are built with current and potential customers in order to generate more business.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by professional conduct, regular follow ups/customer visits, knowledge of the customer’s business and meeting deadlines.
- Proactively deal with customers telephonically or face-to-face to ensure that issues are resolved and relationships strengthened.
- Effectively cross sell products to existing customers.
- Generate new business and attend sales meetings with/without Sales Consultants.
- Perform any reasonable ad hoc tasks and duties required by management.
Process
- Products and services are delivered and installed according to required standards.
- Input is provided to R&D in order to design/redesign products to maintain position as innovative market leader within industry
- Ensure efficient installation and repair of safety equipment so that products are functioning according to required standards.
- Respond promptly to customer call-out requests in the event of breakdowns.
- Effectively resolve breakdowns within required timelines (identify, analyse and find solutions to problems).
- Project manage large and small projects according to company project management schedules and templates.
- Feed new product design ideas or upgrades from customer to R&D team and provide feedback to customer wrt R&D team’s recommendations.
- Complete reporting requirements and administration timeously and accurately (COCs, invoices, PODs, procurement card slips, SLAs, SRs, time sheets etc).
- Ensure that the company vehicle is maintained.
- Adhere to all company policies, rules and regulations in all activities.
- Perform any reasonable ad hoc tasks and duties required by management.

- Follow leadership human resources guidelines and processes wrt recruitment, induction, performance, career development etc.
- Ensure technical competence of team and self in order to deliver quality service.

Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications – minimum
- Grade 12
- NDip Electronics, N6
Qualifications – preferred
Experience
- 3 years technical experience
- 2 years Account Management experience pref from mining or processing plant
- Sales experience an advantage
- MS Office
- Language Requirements: English, Afrikaans
- Drivers Licence
- Company specific training required: Product knowledge
- Communication and interaction: Peers, management and public
- Reporting to the Area Manager

Basic R36,000.00 Per Month + Car allowance R6000.00 + Cell allowance R1850.00
