Accounts Payable Specialist

Introduction

A long standing Global Mobility company specialising in managing and delivering high-quality relocation services across the globe is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their successful team.

Duties & Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

• Key Responsibility is to manage the accounts payable process end-to-end, serving as a
• point-of-contact for the overall process management including handling of the shared mailbox.
• Reconcile supplier’s statements as well as expense claims and overheads
• Prepare remittances within payment process, and resolve all discrepancies
• Review and process invoices sent through the AP mailbox
• Chase for approval of invoices to relevant team/person, once approved, complete
• approved invoices ensuring coded correctly to GL.
• Preparing payment proposals / Instruct bank transfers in accordance with payment timetable prioritising those that are strategically more relevant
• Managing third party suppliers- Agents reconciling their balances/resolving all
• queries/process payments/updating Agent’s balances at month end
• Conducting regular bank reconciliations

Administrator

• Assisting with special analysis/projects
• Support all finance persons as required. Including being cross trained on and back-up for their regular tasks
• Assisting with Month end tasks
• Creation of supplier/client records
• Margin reviews

Teamwork

• Working with the team to ensure all deadlines are met
• Assisting other members of the team and finance department as and when required.
• Cover during absence
• Any ad-hoc requests

Desired Experience & Qualification

• At least 2 years of previous experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of accounting principles
• Detailed oriented
• Must have Excel skills, V-Look ups and Pivot Tables. (An excel test will be conducted)
• Proven experience in dealing with a high volume of suppliers’ statement reconciliations /problem solver
• MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH LOCAL AND FOREIGN CREDITORS – YOU WILL LIASE WITH 40 BRANCHES GLOBALLY
• Experience/knowledge to work with various systems and dealing with technical issues is
• desirable
• Good verbal/written communication skills
• At ease in a fast-paced, rapidly changing and developing business environment
• Competent and reliable to work under pressure
