Introduction

A leading Industrial Services company is looking for an Estimator to join their successful team.

Main Purpose of the Job

Reporting to the Estimating Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that all tenders are prepared accurately, professionally and submitted timeously as set out by the Company’s standard operating procedure.

Duties & Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

• Read and Analyse tender documents, drawings and Bill of Quantities in order to prepare estimates
• Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labour expenses.
• Collaborate with sales teams, engineers, architects, clients, and contractors on estimates
• Compilation of tender letter with returnables
• Ensuring that all tenders are prepared accurately, professionally and submitted timeously.
• Recommend ways to produce a more cost-effective solution and increase profitability
• Ensure effective administration

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, able to analyse information, problem solving skills, and be able to make decisions.
• Must be able to work under pressure and work independently.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards.
