A leading South African manufacturer and marketer of Traditional Sorghum Beer and alcoholic beverages is looking for an IT Specialist: Brewery & Depot Support to join their successful team.
Duties & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Finance & Administration Manager with a dotted line to the IT Operations Manager, the role will provide IT support to users at the depots and breweries, falling under the Phelindaba SBU, user IT training, hardware and software support, and maintenance.
The successful incumbent will collaborate with the IT support, collaborations, and applications teams during the design, development, and business-as-usual phases to provide guidance, interpretation, and support.
Top Accountabilities
- Provide entire onsite/desk side and remote support to end users for all their IT issues, service/change requests
- Testing of computers and ensuring that IT systems are functioning as expected
- Physical setting up of computers and software system installation for various computer applications and programs
- Identifying and solving any problems that affect computer operating systems
- Individual assessments/audits of computer systems to identify the problem(s)
- Maintenance and upgrading of computer systems or offering recommendations on upgrades needed
- Networking and connecting computers within the same organization to enhance communication
- Training staff and orienting them on how to use computer hardware and software systems
- Maintaining peripheral devices such as printers and solving peripheral device-related problems
- Coordination of IT maintenance exercises with other IT team members
- Maintain and organize IT equipment storeroom and manage IT on-hand stock
- After-hours standby support for escalated queries and IT-related issues
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications
- Grade 12
- Diploma/BTech/BSc/ qualification in Information Technology or any IT-related tertiary qualification
- International certifications are an advantage (MCSE, A+, N+, CCNA, Security+, ITIL, Server+, Microsoft 365, etc.)
- Driver’s License
- OWN CAR ESSENTIAL
Experience
- 3-5 years proven post-qualification experience working in IT desktop support
- 2 years providing ERP (e.g., SAP) and other applications end-user support
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating systems and desktop software.
- Good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications e.g., Word and Excel.
- Good knowledge of TCP/IP networking is required.
- Good knowledge of server software and systems.
- Experience configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting IT hardware (desktop, laptop, mobile phones, printer, switch, router, and CCTV).
- Experience with Microsoft365 maintenance, implementation, installation, and troubleshooting issues
- Working knowledge of Active Directory administration: creating user accounts, resetting passwords, disabling, and deleting users.
- Experience with logging and following up on calls with external suppliers and service providers.

Package & Remuneration
R25K – R30K CTC Per Month
