Junior Draughtsperson

Introduction

A leading Industrial Services company is looking for a Junior Draughtsperson to join their successful team.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Reporting to the Drawing Office Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for designing formwork and scaffolding and producing layout drawings complete with accurate equipment quantities. The incumbent will be based at the Durban Regional Office.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Draughting of layouts in 2D for formwork and scaffolding using standard products.
• Design specials and produce manufacturing drawings.
• Accurately quantify equipment on the drawings.
• Resolve design queries with Salesperson.
• Assist with Tender proposals and quantities.
• Ensure business processes are being followed.
• Ensure deadlines are met and commitments honoured.
• Manage and communicate efficiently.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Matric (Grade 12) with Maths.
• Tertiary education in Civil Engineering will be advantageous.
• Certificate in Draughting.
• Fully competent in Temporary Works Design and Construction Methodology.
• Fully competent in AutoCAD 2D.
• Minimum 3 years related experience.
• People and process management skills essential.
• Highly computer literate.
• Customer-service driven.
